Miniature painting

Its my new other hobby: Miniature painter. If add all miniature from all boardgames I own about 500+minatures (only Age of Mythology are 200) play with those miniatures painted give another felling of the game. Things turn more intersting.Everything started at www.redomanet.com when I saw some threads of boardgame collectors showing their miniatures painted. After weeks articles had been released about painting skills and this month I decided buy all the stuff and get started.
My first project is Gears of War - Boardgame, I'm almost finishing the game and left only 20% of all to have done. But with anothers 80% I have already put game on table and loved how everything turn out.

The next Thesin Empire pt2

Yesterday we could not play because my brother, Stan (BK11) got sick and wake up late of night. My group decided play Elder Sign and talk about a lot of things in reason to preserve the group. Its our rule, the RPG session only works if all components of that adventure is present.
Today my brother fells better and we played at afternoon in Smolarek's house. We started the adventure with a car and a small camp looking for the source of goods to build a new empire.
Some hours of gaming, our other friend arrived and ask to our GM to play.
and so...

After hours travelling we met a trader, a who after some conversation decided went with us in our journey in return for weapons. we had many encounters, most of them was dealing with other people or something like puzzle, i mean, a door which needs something or some skill to open, a big hole and so on.
The main topic of this session was the old laboratory we found with a big hole to a big camp. We also discovery that our hired trader (a friend who joined today) was a Eidolon 19 and fight with him for respect and cheat on us. In the same time, many Femtoswarm appeared and fight too. We destroyed all of them and almost kill the ED19. The session ends in our fight with him. Now we will probably play again on friday when he could join with us. Tomorrow we will watch the Mad Max Trilogy, a movie that everybody in brazilian forums suggested when I say that was playing this RPG.
Writing this report I figure out that we forgot roll dice for experience... should do that before the next session.

The next Thesin Empire.

My friends and me started the campaign of Our Dust Earth that I called, without GM permission, The next Thesin Empire. This adventure was made looking to the suggested scenario D of rulebook but with few changes made by us by reason of characters lore.

We are playing in 4, the GM, me Raj an Elder Sophont 2, Smolarek a walker sophont 2 and Stan Biomeka 11. We made a deal of play everyday in this week and finish this adventure on Friday. Tonight we started late and just had time to read the rules, write each character lore and roll dices and made the character sheet.

About lore
Thesin is a family of Sophonts who rules a big company of weapons. Smolarek and I are leaders of this family and we hire Stan, a great employee of us t o came with us in a journey to find a ruined Arcology and build another company and the next Thesin Empire.

Tomorrow we will have another session and I'll updated with another report and this time, with pictures!

Shooting update

         Today I invited my father to training with me but he couldn't. So I spent my free time to shoot at home in a paper target from 10 meters. I shot with scope and without scope, but most of them was by open sights. Last weekend my friends and I went to a farm and I shot with scope all time, so today was the time to training shoots by open sights. 

         

          In this training I used the first ten bullets to adjust the crosshairs and then more twenty bullets on this target below that shows some goods groups. I also went to my friend's house tonight to tuning my air rifle but we can't do it because some issues. But I'm sure that after this changes I'll get more accuracy in shots. I hope could do it after july to get ready to the local competition.

A duel night

Last night I was in my friend's house and we played 5 games of AC The Search. I show my build (the first edition without expansion cards) and taught the rules in about 5 minutes.

The first game he won playing as Crimanal. After that he decided only play as Police and there he touch in my weakness. I have just played as Criminal one or two times. Anyway he won the second game but in the third and fourth game I could won. Making the score 3x2 this night.

We also figure out some issues like:

-If a criminal card was in a corner and the police put 2 barrels in adjacents cards. What criminal should do ?

-If the criminal use the On step ahead card to make the criminal and come back being in out of range of police.

I'll download again the files of the new edition of this game to see what it will change and play against him again. Is also important to say that he is another friend of mine that loved the game in the first time that he saw it.

My first 10

Shooting is my new hobby, since my father gave me an air rifle after the local tournament I've been training and shooting with him in our home and farm. I'm pretty new and have a lot of things to learn and spend too much time training, but i'm loving it.

After Brazilian's Carnival holydays, when we get home I start my training and finally I get my first ten shoot, this is kind the perfect shoot that an airgunner could get.

We gonna have another tournament in June and I'm so excited about it. Well, if I keep traning in this way, for sure I'll have good chances to compete. But until there, I'll having fun shooting and training with my dad. I'm also reading and watching everything about shoot and air rifle. What is cool because i'm thinking seriously in record some videos of my training.
